Line for line – testing, measuring, controlling

The line sensor Baumer PosCon gives you the possibility to supervise the production process and to recognise quality loss. So it helps you to save money. With the PosCon it is easy to position edges, to control diameters or to supervise the position of objects. Until today only expensive and elaborate vision systems were able to solve such applictions, but now the PosCon is the new low priced solution. The position of an edge or an object inside the measuring range will be recorded and calculated. The value for the position is on the analogue output (4...20 mA) or you get it over the serial interface RS-485 as a digital value from 0..1023. There are three measuring ranges up to 350 mm and a maximum resolution of 0.03 mm. Two measuring values can be programmed and used as tolerance limits for the switching output. The three different measuring modes (edge, position, width) and the thresholds can be programmed via the keypad or the serial Interface RS-485
