New cost efficient vision sensors 
- the optimum solution for the quality control

OMRON presents its F-10 Advanced Sensor; an optical registration system, which achieves measuring results hitherto, matched only by a combination of several sensors or a high-cost image processing system. The F-10 system can be used to check the true-to-position packaging of products (e.g. with manufacturer’s logo), for label recognition or print control based on register. Such applications previously required the use of several sensors, entailing time-consuming adjustment of each individual sensor, or an image processing system. 
Camera heads with measuring field sizes from 4.5*3.5 mm to 39*31 mm are provided. The measuring field is projected onto the object with LEDs , allowing optimum alignment of the camera head in a simple procedure. The camera head also provides integrated object illumination with flash. A trigger input releases the recognition function, and the result is output to a OK/NG output. The measuring time is only 3.6 ms in the standard measuring field. These short measuring times at 256 x 492 pixels have been achieved using a technology specially developed by OMRON.

New High Speed Vision Sensor F160

8,3 ms capture speed opens very cost-effective option for high-speed packaging and inspection machines 
F160 is extremely fast and incorporates much more intelligence. By double scan speed the F160 captures an image in 8.3 ms making it a very cost-effective option for high-speed inspection machines. Intelligent functions such as region tracking, flexible search or OCR (optical character recognition) make it ideal for lot number reading, automatic label tracking and defect inspection independent of object size. 

Following the OMRON concept of “Teach & Go” no expert vision knowledge is necessary to solve applications with the High Speed Vision Sensor F160. The operation menu has the same look & feel as the Intelligent Vision Sensor F150 and the Colour Vision Sensor F400. A new operation console with configurable function keys makes the F160 as intelligent and powerful as easy to use. 

PC Control Software for the Intelligent Vision Sensors

Vision Composer is a window based PC software that controls the operation of the Intelligent Vision Sensor F150-3. Vision Composer allows the development of an application specific process flow by easy drag & drop programming. With a considerable number of processing items flowcharts can be generated and all necessary adjustments can be set on the PC. Flexibility and functionality of the Vision Sensor is significantly expanded through the use of Vision Composer. The vision composer 2 includes standard features for data logging and filing.
